Popular Questions
What types of custom packaging do you offer?
We manufacture custom boxes for almost any product, including cosmetic, food, retail, gift, soap, and CBD packaging, in kraft, cardstock, corrugated, and rigid materials. If you have a product, we can build a box for it.
Where can I order custom packaging, and what is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
You can order directly through our website by requesting a quote, or by reaching out over chat or email. Most custom boxes start at a MOQ of 100 units, and some styles can go lower, so ask when you request pricing.
How long is the turnaround time from design approval to delivery?
Standard production runs 8 to 12 business days after you approve the mockup. Delivery time on top of that depends on your location within the USA.
Do you offer design help or mockups?
Yes. We set up your dieline and artwork for free and send a 3D digital mockup before printing. Physical samples are available on request.
What type of printing is used for packaging, and can you print on both the inside and outside of the box?
We use offset printing for large runs and digital printing for shorter runs, with CMYK and Pantone color options. Yes, we can print both the inside and the outside of the box.
Do you offer eco-friendly or sustainable packaging materials?
Yes. We stock recyclable and biodegradable materials, along with kraft and coatings that keep the box recyclable, for brands that want lower waste packaging.
Ordering & Pricing
How much do custom boxes cost?
It depends on four things: box size, material, print colors and quantity. Finishes like foil or embossing add to the cost too. Many of our styles start from $0.80 per box, and the per-box price drops as the quantity goes up. Send us your specs and we will give you an exact number.
Why is the price per box lower on bigger orders?
Every run has setup work: the cutting die, the printing plates and the press setup. That cost is the same whether we print 100 boxes or 5,000, so spreading it across more boxes brings each one down.
How do I get a quote?
Fill out our custom quote form. It takes about two minutes. Tell us the box style, rough size, material and how many you need. If you are unsure about any of it, leave a note and a packaging expert will help you work it out.
Can I order a sample before placing a full order?
Yes. Every order comes with a free 3D digital mockup, and physical samples are available on request. Mention it in your quote and we will confirm the timing and any cost before we start.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Can I reorder the same boxes later?
Yes. Send us your previous order details and we will match the size, material and print. If your logo uses one exact brand color, we print it with a Pantone (PMS) match so it looks the same on every reorder.
Do you work with small businesses and startups?
All the time. A lot of our customers are small brands, Etsy sellers and new product launches. You get the same design help and mockup process whether you order a few hundred boxes or many thousands.
Design & Artwork
I don't have a design. Can you create one for me?
Yes, and it is free. Send us your logo and a few notes about the look you want. Our design team will put the artwork on your box and send you a 3D mockup to approve.
What file format should my artwork be in?
Vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) print the sharpest. If all you have is a PNG or JPG, send it anyway. Our designers will check it and tell you if it is good enough to print or needs a cleaner version.
What is a dieline?
A dieline is the flat template of your box. It shows every cut, fold and glue flap, so your artwork lands in the right place when the box is folded. We create the dieline for you based on your box size.
Will the printed colors match what I see on my screen?
Very close, but not always exact. Screens show color in RGB and printers use CMYK ink, so some bright colors look slightly different on paper. If one brand color has to be exact, ask for a Pantone (PMS) match.
Can I make changes after I see the mockup?
Yes. The mockup is there so you can catch anything you want to change. Nothing goes to print until you approve the final design.
Box Size & Styles
How do I measure my product for a custom box?
Measure length, width and height of the product, then add a little room for inserts or tissue. Box sizes are always written as inside dimensions (L x W x H). Our guide on how to measure a box walks through it step by step.
Can you make boxes in any size or shape?
Yes. Every box is made to your exact size, and we offer custom shapes and die-cut styles too. If you are not sure which style fits your product, our team can suggest one.
Which box style should I choose?
Start with how the box will be used. Tuck end and folding cartons work well on retail shelves. Mailer boxes are better for shipping and subscription orders. Rigid and magnetic boxes suit luxury products and gifts. Our guide to types of boxes for packaging compares them in more detail.
Materials & Finishes
What is the difference between kraft, cardstock, corrugated and rigid boxes?
Kraft is natural brown board with an eco look. Cardstock is smooth white board, usually 12pt to 24pt, and it shows color best. Corrugated has a fluted middle layer that makes it strong enough for shipping. Rigid is thick chipboard wrapped in printed paper, used for premium packaging. Read more in our guide to kraft paper.
Which material is best for shipping boxes?
Corrugated board. The fluted layer absorbs knocks during transit, which is why most mailer and shipping boxes use it. For light products that sit on a shelf, cardstock is usually enough.
What finishes can I add to my boxes?
You can choose gloss or matte lamination, spot UV, gold or silver foil stamping, embossing, debossing, raised ink, aqueous coating or varnish. You can also add a die-cut window with a clear PVC sheet.
What is the difference between embossing and debossing?
Embossing raises your logo or pattern above the surface. Debossing presses it into the board. Both add texture you can feel, and both work well with foil.
Should I choose gloss or matte lamination?
Gloss makes colors look brighter and more vivid. Matte gives a softer, more premium feel and shows fewer fingerprints and reflections. Both protect the print from scuffs and moisture.
Can you add inserts inside the box?
Yes. We make cardboard inserts, foam inserts, partitions and satin or velvet linings. They hold your product in place and stop it from moving during shipping.
Printing
What is the difference between offset and digital printing?
Offset printing uses plates and gives very sharp, consistent color, so it is the better value for large runs. Digital printing needs no plates, which makes it faster and cheaper for short runs and quick reorders.
What is CMYK and Pantone (PMS) color?
CMYK mixes four inks (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) to print full-color artwork and photos. Pantone, or PMS, is a pre-mixed ink for one exact color. Most boxes print in CMYK, and brands with a strict logo color add a Pantone match.
Production & Shipping
Do you offer rush orders?
Yes. Tell us your deadline when you request a quote and our team will confirm the fastest timeline we can deliver for your order.
Is shipping really free?
Yes. Shipping is free on custom orders delivered within the USA.
Can I track my order?
Yes. We send tracking details once your boxes ship, so you can follow the delivery all the way to your door.
Sustainability
Are your boxes recyclable?
Kraft, cardstock and corrugated boxes are recyclable. Some finishes, like plastic lamination or heavy foil, can make recycling harder, so if that matters to you, choose aqueous coating and ask us to keep the box fully recyclable.
Do you use eco-friendly inks?
Yes. Eco-friendly soy-based inks are available for high-quality printing. Just mention it in your quote.
