What size box fits a 30ml dropper bottle?
A standard 30ml or 1oz dropper bottle usually needs a carton around 1.5 x 1.5 x 4 inches, though the dropper bulb adds height that catches people out. Airless pump bottles are taller again. Send us the filled bottle with its closure fitted, since the cap is part of the dimension.
Do I need an insert to stop the glass bottle breaking?
For glass, yes. A serum bottle loose in a carton has room to move, and glass that shifts in transit chips at the neck. A die-cut card insert or a fitted foam cradle holds the bottle upright and takes the shock. This matters more for ecommerce than for retail shelf sales.
Does the box protect the serum from light?
While the bottle is in the box, yes, a printed carton blocks light completely, which is genuinely useful for vitamin C and retinol formulas that degrade under UV. Once your customer takes the bottle out, the carton is doing nothing, so light-sensitive actives still need amber or opaque glass. The carton helps in storage and transit, not on a bathroom shelf.
What information does US law require on serum packaging?
Serum is a cosmetic, so the pack needs a statement of identity, net quantity of contents, a full ingredient declaration in INCI names, and the name and place of business of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor. Under MoCRA, US cosmetic facilities also have registration and product listing obligations, which sit with you rather than with the packaging. Plan panel space for the ingredient list early, since a narrow serum carton runs out of room fast.
Can you make the box look premium without a big budget?
The cheapest real upgrade is soft touch lamination, which changes how the box feels in the hand more than any print effect changes how it looks. After that, debossing a logo costs less than foil and reads as restrained. Heavy foil and rigid construction cost considerably more, so spend where the customer actually touches the pack.
Can you print batch numbers and PAO symbols?
Yes. The period-after-opening symbol, the open jar icon with a figure like 12M, is standard on cosmetic packaging and we place it as part of your artwork. Batch numbers can either be printed in the run or overprinted by you on a clean panel we leave for it.
How fast can I get boxes for a launch?
Production runs 7 to 8 business days after you approve the mockup, plus 3 to 5 business days shipping. Expedited production is available. If you have a fixed launch date, tell us at quote stage rather than after artwork approval.
