Bottle Sizes We Build for

Send us the bottle with the dropper assembly screwed on. The bulb is part of the height, and it is the measurement most people leave out. The figures below are illustrative starting points, not production dimensions, because Boston rounds, shoulder profiles, bulb lengths, and closure assemblies all vary between suppliers.

• 15ml (0.5 fl oz), the standard CBD tincture and sample size
• 30ml (1 fl oz), the most common tincture and serum format
• 50ml (about 1.7 fl oz) and 60ml (about 2 fl oz), larger tincture formats
• 100ml (about 3.4 fl oz), used for essential oils and bulk formulas

Cylindrical and Boston round bottles need either a square carton with a fitted insert or a cylindrical tube style. We also produce multi-bottle cartons for tincture kits and sample sets. Post us a sample bottle, and we will measure it here and build the dieline from that.

Inserts for Glass Bottles

A dropper bottle with room to move inside a carton can chip at the neck and shoulder, and a top-heavy bottle lands badly when a parcel is dropped. We fit die-cut paperboard inserts that grip the base and hold the bottle upright, corrugated inserts for heavier or multi-bottle sets, and foam cradles where the bottle value justifies the cost.

One thing worth being clear about. A printed folding carton is retail packaging, not a parcel shipping box. If you ship single bottles to customers, the carton belongs inside a corrugated mailer or shipper that is built to take transit handling. Heavier board on the retail carton helps it survive the journey looking presentable, but it does not turn that carton into a shipping box on its own.

Child-Resistant Packaging For Regulated Products

If you sell CBD, hemp, or other regulated products in dropper bottles, plan the child-resistant question early, because it can change the structure rather than just the artwork.

Child-resistant packaging requirements depend on the product and the applicable federal or state rules. Where a package has to meet the Poison Prevention Packaging Act special packaging standard, testing follows the protocol set out in 16 CFR 1700.20. CPSC does not pre-approve packaging designs, and compliance attaches to the specific tested package configuration rather than to a packaging supplier in general. Responsibility for certifying that the finished product meets the requirement sits with the manufacturer of the end product.

In practice, most tinctures achieve child resistance through the bottle closure, typically a push-and-turn dropper cap, with the printed carton acting as secondary packaging. Where a carton itself needs to be child-resistant, that means a press-tab locking structure designed and tested for the purpose. Tell us at the quote stage which route your product needs, and we will build to it.

Have your required packaging structure and labeling reviewed for your specific product and market before production. We build to the specification you confirm. We will not describe an untested carton as child resistant, because that claim belongs to a tested configuration and the consequences of getting it wrong land on your product, not on ours.

Labeling and Panel Space For Your Box

Dropper products carry more required copy than almost anything else at their size, which is why these cartons often get redesigned late in the process.

For cosmetics, FDA rules distinguish between the principal display panel and the information panel. The principal display panel normally carries the statement of identity and the net quantity of contents, while the information panel carries items such as the ingredient declaration and the name and place of business. Requirements can also differ between the outer carton and the immediate container the product actually sits in. Dietary supplements follow a different framework again, with a Supplement Facts panel. CBD and hemp products commonly add potency in milligrams, batch or lot number, warning statements, and a QR code linking to a certificate of analysis, with the specifics varying by state.

Have your final label copy reviewed by whoever handles your compliance, then send it to us before we cut the dieline. On a panel an inch and a half wide, that copy decides the box size.

Materials and Finishes We offer

We build dropper cartons from cardstock in 12pt to 18pt for clean full-color print, kraft paperboard for natural and hemp brands where the uncoated look suits the positioning, and rigid board for premium tincture kits. Stocks are FSC certified.

On sustainability, a straight answer is more useful than a blanket claim. Uncoated kraft and cardstock cartons are curbside recyclable. Once you add foil stamping, plastic lamination, or a window film, the carton generally is not recyclable or biodegradable, whatever the base board was. If a recyclable claim is part of your brand story, we will keep you to soy inks, aqueous coating, and uncoated stock. If you want the foil, that is a fair choice, but the pack should not claim recyclability it does not have.

For finishes, soft-touch lamination gives the biggest perceived upgrade per dollar on a small carton, since the customer feels it before they read it. Debossing costs less than foil and reads as restrained. Spot UV over matte lifts a logo without the whole box turning shiny.

Printing

Full color CMYK as standard, with Pantone matching where a brand color has to stay identical across reorders and across a product range. Where you run several strengths or flavors, we hold the brand elements consistent and change only the strength panel, which keeps the line reading as one brand on a shelf. We leave a clean uncoated panel if you overprint batch numbers or expiry dates inline, since coated surfaces reject inkjet coding.
